This mid-6th century BC Attic black-figure amphora features horse protomes on its sides. Crafted in Athens, it showcases black silhouettes on red clay and has two handles. Its purpose is debated but may have been similar to Panathenaic prize vases. Over 100 similar examples exist, underscoring their cultural significance in ancient Greece.
