Via di Diana

This is the Via di Diana, a principal street in Ostia Antica. On the right stands the Caseggiato di Diana, a 2nd c. residential and commercial building. The street’s dense brick structures reflect urban Roman life, while the Capitolium rising at its end asserts the religious and political heart of the city.
