Budget Draft in Ronde ScriptSully
This manuscript on paper (1611) prepared by Sully, chief minister of Henri IV, is written in ronde, a script systematized by Louis Barbedor in 1632, it reflects elegant, rounded strokes made with a slanted cut quill. Known as financial script, the style remained standard in French administration until the early 20th c.
