The Oval Salon (c. 1735) in the Hôtel de Soubise showcases French Rococo with its curved mirrors, gilded stuccoes, and frescoes that create shimmering surfaces. The blue ceiling adorned with allegories enhances the airy fantasy of the space. Commissioned by the Rohan-Soubise family, this interior exemplifies aristocratic refinement at the height of 18th c. Paris.
