This parchment charter (716) records King Chilperic II confirming a fiscal rent and toll exemption first granted by Dagobert I to Saint-Denis Abbey. Written in Merovingian script, it evolved from late Roman cursive and was used in the Frankish chancery during the 6–7th cc.
