Roman Milestone from Paris

67
This Roman milestone (300–308 AD) was found on Avenue des Gobelins in 1877. It marked distances between key cities and the Parisii settlement, offering the earliest official mention of Paris, then called Lutetia. Dedicated to Maximinus Daia during his time as Caesar, the milestone was later repurposed as a sarcophagus, illustrating the resourcefulness of late antiquity.
