This bronze sculpture (1911–1914) by Antoine Bourdelle represents the defeat of paganism, with the centaur symbolizing the artist’s introspection. Bourdelle crafted two versions: one bearded, one not. Measuring approximately 14 x 12 x 4 15/16 inches, it reflects Bourdelle’s personal and artistic journey.
