Salon Design for Café de ParisHenri Sauvage
Henri Sauvage’s 1899 design for the Café de Paris salons on Avenue de l’Opéra marked his rise in the art nouveau movement. Concurrently, his work on the Villa Majorelle in Nancy earned international acclaim, solidifying his reputation as a leading architect and decorator. After the Café de Paris closed in 1954, one of Sauvage’s salons was reconstructed at the Musée Carnavalet, preserving his innovative contribution to early 20th-century design.
