This fresco (1545–46) portrays the rustic god Pan embracing a nymph beside a spring. His animal features, muscular form, and intense gaze contrast with her retreating pose. The scene evokes themes of pursuit and seduction, emblematic of nature’s wildness and the tension between instinct and innocence.
