Mochica Warriors in Ritual Combat
Mochica warriors (1–800 AD) are shown ready for ritual combat, highlighting their high social status. They wear feathered headdresses, ear ornaments, pectorals, necklaces, bracelets, decorated shirts, and coxal protectors. Facial paint and rattles add to their ceremonial appearance. Armed with shields, clubs, spears, and atlatls , they reflect the martial and ceremonial traditions of their culture, illustrating the Mochica’s complex societal hierarchy.
