This Baroque altarpiece and fresco ensemble (c. 1676) celebrates the glorification of Christ’s name. Inspired by Philippians 2:10, it presents a radiant burst of divine light marked with IHS, surrounded by the saved ascending in glory and the damned falling into shadow. The dramatic illusionism blurs architecture, sculpture, and painting into one ecstatic vision.
