This ceremonial gold disk (700–1550) features three raised bosses surrounded by dotted borders and stylized crocodiles. In Diquís belief, crocodiles symbolized strength, fertility, and control over watery realms. As a pectoral, the disk blended cosmic and animal motifs to express elite power and sacred protection in ritual contexts.
