This display evokes Mexica food production and tribute systems (15–16th cc. AD). Baskets hold maize, beans, and squash—the three sisters cultivated together for soil health and sustenance. The mural shows tributaries bringing offerings to elites, reflecting how conquered regions sustained the empire through agricultural tribute and ceremonial exchange.
