These reconstructions show the transformation of the Riga Cathedral from a Romanesque basilica (early 13th c.) into a Gothic-style structure (14th c.). Initiated by Bishop Albert in 1211, it became a symbol of ecclesiastical power and Riga’s integration into Western Christian Europe.
