Birch Bark Lid and Fragments

These large and small birch bark pieces (12th–13th cc.) are remains of round lids, once used to cover containers. Found during Riga excavations, they reflect everyday household storage practices. Birch bark was a durable, lightweight material commonly used in medieval Baltic homes.
