Combs from Medieval Riga

These finely crafted double- and single-sided combs (12-13th cc.), made from bone and wood, reflect everyday grooming and hygiene practices. Decorated with carvings or rivets, some were status symbols. Found in Riga, they show both utility and personal ornamentation.
