Column Hall

The Column Hall shows tall classical columns and a central chandelier. Its structure (1778–86) formed part of Riga’s Domsky Monastery and functioned as the monastic library. After World War II, the interior shifted to museum use. The hall’s proportions and ornament show how neoclassical design shaped public cultural spaces in Riga.
