Max and Luis are at the vast Battle Hall (inaugurated 1837) created under Louis-Philippe to honor French military glory. Spanning nearly 120 meters, it features paintings and busts of key figures from the nation’s military past—from Clovis to Napoleon. Once a symbol of monarchy, the palace here becomes a patriotic pantheon of the French nation.
