Esta estátua de bronze dourado de Hércules, encontrada no Forum Boarium no final do século XV, retrata o herói com a sua icónica clava e as maçãs de ouro das Hespérides. Provavelmente uma imagem de culto para o templo de Hércules, foi dedicada por Cipião Emiliano em 142 a.C. A estátua encarna a força de Hércules e o favor divino na cultura romana.
