Esta estatua de bronce dorado de Hércules, hallada en el Forum Boarium a finales del siglo XV, representa al héroe con su icónica clava y las manzanas de oro de las Hespérides. Probablemente una imagen de culto para el templo de Hércules, fue dedicada por Escipión Emiliano en 142 a. C. La estatua encarna la fuerza de Hércules y el favor divino en la cultura romana.
