Esta escultura romana (160–200 d. C.) del período antonino, realizada en mármol de Luni, representa a Dioniso, el dios griego del vino, el teatro y la fertilidad. Se le muestra recostado en un carro inspirado en un triunfo indio. Descubierta en excavaciones de finales del siglo XIX en las colinas del Quirinal, el Viminal y el Esquilino de Roma, ejemplifica el arte romano antiguo y la síntesis cultural.
