The Lambayeque, Chimú, and Chincha states (900–1470 AD) flourished in pre-Columbian Peru along the northern and central coasts. The Lambayeque excelled in intricate metalwork, the Chimú built the vast adobe city of Chan Chan, and the Chincha were known for their maritime skills.
