Retable of Saint PeterMartín de Soria
Martín de Soria’s retable, likely the main altarpiece of an unknown church, exemplifies Aragonese retables mayores with its stepped design. Dedicated to Saint Peter, the Virgin Mary, and Saint Blaise, it features votive figures in tall panels, flanked by narrative scenes. Despite missing elements, it preserves the Aragonese formula. The predella, depicting the apostles, lacks its central piece, possibly the Man of Sorrows. This work is among the few intact retables by de Soria.
