Retable of Saint PeterMartín de Soria
Martín de Soria’s Retable of Saint Peter, from the late 15th century, is a prime example of Aragonese retables mayores . Likely the main altarpiece of an unknown church, it is dedicated to Saint Peter, the Virgin Mary, and Saint Blaise. The stepped design fits a church apse, featuring votive figures and narrative scenes. Despite missing elements, it is a rare, largely intact example of Soria’s work, preserving the Aragonese tradition.
