Jorge González Camarena’s mural, created in 1960 and originally titled *La Conquista*, was renamed *La Fusión de dos Culturas* in the late 1980s. It depicts the merging of indigenous and Spanish cultures, a theme central to Mexican identity. Part of the second generation of muralists, González Camarena was invited by museum director Antonio Arriaga Ochoa alongside peers like David Alfaro Siqueiros.
