The Dying Centaur, de Antoine Bourdelle, esculpida entre 1911–1914, simboliza o declínio do paganismo. Bourdelle identificava-se com o Centauro, infundindo o bronze com reflexão pessoal. Existem duas versões: uma com barba e outra sem, cada uma com cerca de 14 x 12 x 4 15/16 polegadas. Esta obra representa um comovente ponto de encontro entre mito e modernidade.
