This panel (1445–50) shows the Virgin Mary in prayer beside St Peter with a gray beard and St John with curled hair and a calm gaze. It comes from a Last Judgment polyptych. Such ensembles placed principal saints near the central scene to guide devotional focus. Their grouped posture indicates how intercession structured the altarpiece’s treatment of judgment.
