A slender Gothic spire rises above steep slate roofs, set against the vivid patterned tiles of the adjacent hall. Founded as a hospice in 1443, the complex combines flamboyant tracery with Burgundy’s distinctive glazed roof designs. The contrast between plain masonry and polychrome tiles reflects both its charitable mission and its function as a statement of civic prestige.
