تصوّر جدارية جوزيبي تشيزاري رومولوس، المؤسِّس الأسطوري لروما، وهو يحدّد حدود المدينة، في لحظة محورية من تأسيسها الأسطوري عام 753 قبل الميلاد. تقع هذه اللوحة في قاعة الهوراتي والكورياتي، وتعكس أسطورة التأسيس وترتبط بصعود الجمهورية الرومانية عام 509 قبل الميلاد. ويضفي تشيزاري، المعروف بجدارياته، وقارًا تاريخيًا على المشهد، مُظهرًا براعته في الدورات الزخرفية.
