Nave of the Church of San Francisco
The nave of the Church of San Francisco (16th–18th cc.) exemplifies Andean Baroque. Gilded altars, polychrome arches, and painted ceilings depict biblical history from Creation to Redemption. Floral coffered panels frame these scenes, uniting European techniques with local craftsmanship in a uniquely colonial synthesis of art and devotion.
