This monumental gilded altar (18th c.) is a triumph of Andean Baroque. Layered with saints, niches, columns, and divine figures, it expresses a theology of glory through visual excess. The radiance of gold evokes heavenly light, guiding the faithful toward the mystery of the Eucharist enshrined at its center.
