Bird-Shaped Copper Pendant

286
This oxidized copper pendant, shaped like a bird with outstretched wings and crest, comes from the Zenú culture of northern Colombia (1000–1500). Birds symbolized spiritual messengers and transformation. The use of copper reflects evolving metallurgy and trade networks linking Colombia to wider Mesoamerican traditions.
