Anthropo-Zoomorphic Pendant

283
This gold pendant (1 BC–700 AD) from the Tolima culture shows a figure combining human and animal features. Its extended arms and geometric symmetry suggest transformation, possibly depicting a shaman becoming a bird or spiritual entity. Such pendants, worn by elites, indicated sacred roles and access to supernatural realms.
