La représentation de la Piazza Navona par Johann Heinrich Wilhelm Tischbein (1786/87) saisit le cœur vibrant de Rome. Ce fac-similé reflète le lien de Tischbein avec Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, qui visita Rome lors de son Voyage en Italie. La place, avec ses fontaines baroques et son atmosphère animée, symbolise les échanges artistiques et intellectuels entre l’Allemagne et l’Italie à cette époque.
