Shaded beneath trees and softened by age, this modest two-tiered stone fountain (19th c.) exemplifies the tranquil character of its garden setting. Water trickles from a small upper bowl into the broad circular basin, where moss and lichen trace long exposure to moisture. Low benches and open lawns frame the structure, turning a simple water source into a quiet focus for rest and contemplation.
