This neoclassical fireplace (c. 1780–90) formed part of Prince Marcantonio Borghese’s interior renovations. Luxurious giallo antico and Luni marble frame laurel garlands, bucrania, and Doric motifs that evoke Roman dignity. Inside, tiles with birds, floral patterns, and heroic cameos create a unified classical aesthetic.
