This blooming magnolia tree stands near the formal rose garden of the Château de Malmaison, echoing Empress Joséphine’s passion for botany. Between 1800–14, Joséphine transformed the estate into a botanical haven, cultivating rare species from around the world. The garden became a living symbol of empire, beauty, and scientific curiosity.
