This textile fragment from the Nazca culture (100 BC–800 AD) showcases the intricate craftsmanship of ancient southern Peru. The Nazca, known for elaborate textiles and ceramics, also created the mysterious Nazca Lines. Their agriculture-based economy was supported by innovative underground aqueducts called puquios . Influenced by the Paracas culture and preceding the Wari, the Nazca left a significant legacy in Andean history and art.
