Green Twin Hats from a Nasca Tomb

52
These twin caps, made using the sprang technique, date to the Nasca culture’s late period (c. 7th c. AD). Their green color and remnants of a tubular cord suggest they were linked, possibly as part of a burial ensemble. Found at Cahuachi, a major ceremonial center, they reflect the intricate textile artistry and ritual significance of Nasca funerary practices, offering insight into the cultural and spiritual life of this ancient Andean civilization.
