珀耳修斯与美杜莎巴尔达萨雷·佩鲁齐
在这幅湿壁画（约1511年）中，佩鲁齐描绘了珀耳修斯即将斩下美杜莎头颅的场景。美杜莎能将人石化的目光已经把受害者变成石像，可见于下方苍白的人物形象。由美杜莎之血诞生的飞马珀伽索斯在一旁出现，象征重生。整个场景体现了战胜怪物般混乱的胜利。
