Giuseppe Cesari, connu sous le nom de Cavalier d’Arpino, a peint cette fresque en 1596. Elle représente la découverte légendaire de Romulus et Rémus par le berger Faustulus, alors qu’ils sont allaités par une louve. Ce motif central de la mythologie romaine symbolise le rôle nourricier de la nature.
