The 11th–14th cc. ensemble of the Baptistery, Cathedral, and Leaning Tower of Pisa embodies medieval Pisa’s religious and civic pride. Their alignment reflects the city’s maritime power and devotion. The name Square of Miracles, coined by Gabriele D’Annunzio in the early 20th c., highlights the site’s exceptional harmony of art, architecture, and spiritual purpose.
