Tuttomondo

Tuttomondo is a rare landmark of late 20th-c. public art in Pisa: in 1989 Haring painted Tuttomondo across the outer wall of the Church of Sant’Antonio Abate with local support and students, shortly before his death in 1990. Its 30 interlocking figures—dancers, caretakers, creatures, and emblems like a TV-headed man—turn his bold, childlike line into a civic language of peace, cooperation, and shared responsibility, binding a sacred façade to the street life around it.
