Inlaid into the cathedral floor (18th c.), this brass meridian line serves both artistic and astronomical purposes. At solar noon, sunlight marks zodiac signs as it crosses the line, linking timekeeping with cosmic symbolism. The balance and ram shown here represent Libra and Aries, aligning liturgy with celestial cycles.
