Completed over six centuries (1386–1965), the soaring nave of the Duomo di Milano embodies the grandeur of Gothic architecture. Its colossal pink-hued pillars, adorned with niches and statues, lift the ribbed vaults skyward. Light pours through stained glass, illuminating a space designed to awe and elevate the soul in a city once ruled by dukes and archbishops.
