Feathered Serpent in Motion
This projecting head (c. 250 AD) from Teotihuacán’s sacred temple captures the Feathered Serpent mid-emergence, its open jaw and spiral eyes conveying breath and vitality. The coiled gaze—an emblem of divine energy—animates the stone with a sense of movement, as if the serpent itself stirs beneath the temple’s skin.
