Feathered Serpent Head in Profile
This projecting sculpture (c. 250) crowns the stairway of Teotihuacán’s Temple of the Feathered Serpent. Shown in profile, the deity’s features—spiraled eye, open jaws, and scaled form—express power, breath, and rebirth. Framed by sky and stone, it asserts divine presence at the ceremonial heart of the city.
