Incense Burner with Deity Mask
This elaborate vessel (300–600) from Teotihuacán was used for burning incense in ritual settings. Its towering face, composed of circular and stepped elements, likely represents a storm or agricultural deity. Such burners channeled fragrant smoke to the gods, transforming fire into a sacred bridge between earth and sky.
