Central Courtyard of the Ciudadela

398
This grassy expanse marks the central courtyard of the Ciudadela, once a grand ceremonial enclosure at Teotihuacán (c. 250 AD). Framed by pyramidal platforms and the distant highlands, the space was designed for processions, ritual gatherings, and state power. The Feathered Serpent temple anchors its sacred axis.
