Muisca Tunjos
These Muisca hammered gold tunjos (1000–1500 AD) were ritual offerings deposited in sacred lakes and shrines. Depicting richly adorned humans—possibly priests or deities—they embodied spiritual petitions, reciprocity with nature, and reverence for the divine. Each figure served as a sacred conduit between people and gods.
